| New York, NY (Sports Network) - Colorado Avalanche forward Chuck Kobasew has been fined $2,500 by the National Hockey League for charging Vancouver Canucks defenseman Aaron Rome on Saturday. The fine, the maximum allowed under the collective bargaining agreement, was announced on Sunday. Kobasew was whistled for a charging minor on the play, which occurred at 6:34 of the first period.
